How many toenails have you lost due to any outdoor activity?
None. Zero. Zilch. I even cut my left big toe off nearly from a mower accident and still kept the OG toenail. My toes are OG's and are gonna ride till the end.

Ehh. I gotta ask those weird(not too weird) questions. I bet some pissed texan is gonna search up, why did my ski boots make my toe nail fall off and this thread could come up.
RIP_leos_shack8 I think. Last time was just from hiking boots. Trying to be more diligent about cutting them bitches nowadays.
My first two were from hiking. Ever since, they never grew back the same. They were improving over the summer and fall, but then what do you know, black from my first day of the season. Go figure. No point in maintaining them at this point. I had to visit a podiatrist because one set grew in soooo wide, they became really ingrown.
The best part is when you need to drain the blood from underneath the nail. I always heat up a tack with a blowtorch and jab that shit in through the toenail.
I wish I lost my big toenail, it’s just been wounded beyond repair for a number of years and grows sideways until it gets ingrown and I have to cut it back which hurts like a mother fucker. One trick I’ve learned is to lean forward onto your quad w/ your chest until your leg falls asleep. Dulls the pain a fair amount.

THis sounds horrific I am so sorry. Have you considered getting it surgically removed?
1 from older ski boots where toe box was too high. Then, the one growing in got impacted and it was a couple months of having the ugliest left big toenail.
