Skiing in Burnt Forests

I’ve noticed it more than ever now. I’ve been watching a lot of backcountry from the west coast and I’ve noticed that there are a pretty decent amount of clips that are in the graveyards of forests. Some many clips of sending massive cliffs and pillow lines with these burnt forests in the shot. Is this normal? I’m from the East Coast, so i’m just curious if this whatever for most people. Because I could only imagine that with the increase in forest fires in the summer months will result in an increase in these back drops for bc clips. Any one else notice this?

From Wa, pretty common for people to hunt for burn zones. Best tree skiing, no dodging branches and no wells. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more spots like these down the road.

Lots of open space to ski, and the snow is somewhat anchored by the trees. Not that common but worth seeking out if you can find it.

OTOH it is probably slowly becoming scrubland rather than forest, so there's a dark side.
