Flat ground 360

Just wondering if a flat ground 360 should be fairly easy..? Either stood still on skis or while moving.

I find this pretty difficult and need a little lip or something to pop off to do a 360. I can’t get much past 180 when standing still in skis.

Anyone else struggle with this or got any tips please?

I couldn’t find the old trick tip forum so please move if in the wrong place.

Wind up hard and look with your head. If my old ass can still do hop 3's on a bike you can do them on skis.

no i don't think many people consider that fairly easy. i certainly can't get a 3 around just standing there. skiing's a sport where lots of things are much harder when you're not moving, that's one of them

if you just want to do them cause you want to, great, but definitely don't think you're missing some skill or something. even a tiny 270 or 360 onto a rail or box isn't the same as doing it standing still, that little bit of speed and air onto the jib is what makes the spin on work much more easily there

nowadays i see quite a few people doing 3 swaps on flat rails now.

for flat ground 3's without any jumps/lips i think the key is to fully pop and then set the 3. when i was learning how to do them i found that i would get caught up on my tails and only get to 270 because i would try to spin while popping/ doing an ollie.

also picking up your legs more will give you more time to spin a full 360. this goes for 270's onto rails/boxes as well.

Standing still would be incredibly difficult to do more than 180.

While moving it's super easy. Just gotta keep that momentum going. Much easier with rockered skis but this is even possible on race skis. I can easily do this and this is coming from someone who almost kills themselves attempting 3's in the air.

My brother likes to keep spinning nonstop while riding under lifts on greens/blues while yelling out "whoaaaa whoaaaa ahhhhh!". Absolutely fucking hilarious cuz easily could be seen as a guy out of control. I just follow behind yelling "PIZZA!"

Thanks a lot for the replies, yea I guess it’s all about momentum (and probably need to work on my spin technique)

I watched the ‘how to 360’ Stomp It Tutorials video and he does a standing 360 in both directions, which seemed crazy to me.

I’ve not really tried it while moving on the flat actually, I think I’m too scared as my brain is telling me I can’t do it stood still, but as a few of you say perhaps it’s actually easier while moving.

I can 360 on flat ground. The skis have to be short. You have to crank you upper body as you pop, then focus on getting the skis around. You must have a lot of power to get it around.
Its not the same on a jump. You have more time, speed and a lip to take care of.

LOL. To be fair sliding the trick is ok on a skate. Jagger's flatground style is horrendous tho, like bro ur a pro skater, just take one day and figure out how to not spazz out before you pop.

I can do it both ways (/claim) but it's easier if I'm moving a bit. You're doing something wrong if you're tryina crank your head around. Set from your arms and chest.

eh that’s technically considered a 3 swap but much of the spin is actually done on the rail, peoples skis typically don’t even really leave the rail until they’re fully forward or backward and they land facing the opposite direction and fudge it until they’re facing back the way they started. I wouldn’t consider that the same as doing one on flat ground
