profa_212Honestly public service cars like that that can be rotated and charged at a central location are an extremely good use case for electric. Same with busses, garbage trucks etc
Ive thought the same about construction fleets and the 150 lightning.
You're right, that does sound like a good use case. It's just my hate boner for elon musk lmao
BallClapperWhy the hell are there four soap dispensers to two sinks. On the other side of the second there’s two more.
little know fact: back in the year 2019 there was a pandemic outbreak that lasted years. due to this, companies across the world had emphasized hygiene. these ancient artifacts are likely left behind symbols of the times.

Even before that I was always blown away by how few dudes wash there hands. And get outta here with that "bro my dick is clean why would I need to wash" BS
Those offset things are one of the biggest scams of this decade. It's just a way to make more money off of dumb people. I will laugh at anyone who says they are co2 neutral because they bought offsets.
Maybe one day the Bunch will permanently move to a cottage and make their skis and clothes from scratch and stop chasing snow so they don't have to make this stupid screen to their movies.

“In this movie we took the train to Riksgransen and used our old skis: our carbon offset was enough to plant a daisy because I bought an energy drink at the station.”

i mean the offsets themselves are regulated and real. but really what its saying is that you can personally pollute as much as you want. just so long as youre rich.
the irony in leo flying to exotic locations via helicopter in the name of climate change is absurd. just like bombing for peace.

I watched a document about offsets few airlines were using (Finnair included). I don't know where and how these regulations regulate, but they don't regulate very well.
It's a very shady and dishonest business. Offsets of these airlines went trough like 3-6 different companies and in the end it was poor Indian people making bio-gas out of cow poop for their stove. It took like 3 months(or 3 weeks??) of that cow poop energy to offset the flight of one person from Finland to India. If a350 flies there and every passenger buys the offset, it takes 1140 months(or weeks:D) in total to offset one-way flight. Other examples that were shown were also in India, but they created other problems with the environment because recycling is not regulated in India. So offsets are a real disaster. You can probably find companies who offers proper offsets, but that is just moving your problem to someone else and that is not how our problem is solved.
Didn't find the full documentary, only found a short video, but you can't see it anyway because it's geo-blocked https://areena.yle.fi/1-63817586

yeah the ones I've heard of are also always in third world, under developed areas. pretty weird.
but do you mean like you pay extra for offsetting your personal flight through the airway? cause that sounds sketch for sure. anything on a personal level seems questionable. like i could pay $3 extra per kilowatt hour to make my home electric come from renewables but there was no way to check and balance. i still did it with the hope that it could potentially show demand and help bring more renewable energy to our local grid but probably wishful thinking
i was thinking about the government mandated offsets that high polluters are required to purchase. those are typically more regulated but even then there’s opportunity to be shady.
also i could click the link and watch the video but i had no idea what they were saying 😆

Both on a personal level and on a company level. Just to make your stats look better on paper even though they are not.
There is a caption button somewhere. Why the fuck can you watch it over there but I can't watch it if I'm in Sweden??
Still pushing snow around and building shit. Cool to be back in Africa building. Work vibes suck but it's been fun meeting new people to shred or have a beer with

Ii found some soap to leave in the bathroom at the backpackers I'm staying at. don't even wanna think about how many people shit and didn't wash with soap and went on to touch things. People are nasty
