Take 3 is one of my favorite urban films of the year so far. Spots were super creative with me personal favorite being at 1:50in, and my favorite trick at 10:23in. Cant wait to see more projects in the from these boys in the future

All jokes aside I went to the premier last night and it was pretty fun. Rly hard to see the screen tho cuz it was on a projector and u could only see the top half of it because everyone was standing. Went back and rewatched it today and I think it might be their best film yet

Nothing to discredit the CL boys. Maybe I’m not a true fan of street skiing but I think the ballsiness of some of the shots in zootspace were unmatched. Roof to roof clip (video thumbnail for reference), park city bus drop, some of those glass window spots, etc take a different type of gut to hit I bet. I also liked the spot creativity and soundtrack in zoot space a little more, sound track especially. That being said I can’t really make my decision yet cause I’ve only watched take 3 one time, something you’ve gotta watch many times to make a decision. Then again it’s all subjective. Hell of a video regardless.

might get some shit for this but the first half of the new child labor movie was kind of eh, I stopped watching at he 10 min mark cause of questionable music and filming choices. But after that I finished it, was gas as fuck, definitely wayyyy more bangers than don't fret.

Zootspace took 3 years to film. take 3 took 1 season so there’s that. Take 3 was legit and I’ll definitely watch it at least 20 times this season

there are clips in Take 3 from a few seasons back, they collected the best clips they had from multiple seasons I think, but you can definitely tell zoot space took longer. I have watched both multiple times already and Imo zootspace is still on top, but take 3 was fire asf

Wrong. Any clips that child labor would stack from a few seasons back would be used in don’t fret or the strike. They release yearly films so all clips are current

People aren't doing the stylish swervy new wave bench jib stuff that has been hot for the past few years. It's all about doing some gnarly shit at a weird sketchy ass spot now. Also amateur BC movies are a thing now. And movies are getting longer.

I can't wait for us to think up a stupid name for this era so we can have even stupider arguments about it. looking forward to it

Only a few cal clips are from past seasons because we had to wait to get the clips from other homies. Everything else is from this year.

There’s clips of cal riding fruits and honeycombs with his blue jacket. The exact same kit he was wearing when I rode the chair with him at 7 springs in January of 2020 lol.

When I was watching I was just like oh Ive seen people hit that rail before multiple times. Watch on3p4, zootspace, then watch take 3 again and you will see. No disrespect to child labor though cause that shit was so sick and cal carson every clip was a banger

Ah I know which one you’re talking about. I honestly don’t see a huge issue with doubling up of spots in movies. Unless it’s super creative and blatant that a crew has already “claimed” it. Plus all the guys in zoot and CL are homies and probably hit spots together here and there, hell some of the riders are featured in both films.

Good point. I think what slowed zootspace’s production down was the fact that they had to use their clips for ON3P 4 as well as two whole mango real ski edits, all of which probably took up a lot of time.

nah dudes are starting to rock stiffer skis now, seems like most of the child labor guys ski on the pluses. It makes sense if you're hitting big features.

and again with the skater thing...skiers have been imitating skaters for the entire existence of newschool skiing. It's always been this way. If you think that it's something new then you must have recently got into skating or skiing in the past 5 years cause trust me, skiers have been ripping off skaters forever. I remember watching TBC for the first time in 2005 and I recognized like 2 or 3 songs from skate videos that had recently come out.
