Anyone know of custom ski gear?

hey guys- this is my first thread so sorry if im doing anything wrong, but my brother absolutely loves skiing and being in the snow, however the problem is he is 6’8 ft tall and a size 18 in mens shoes- we know of a ski rental place that rents out size 17 mens ski boots, but they hurt him a bit too much for him to have fun skiing in.
We are looking for some ski boots in his size but can’t seem to find any (which makes sense, his size are really big), so I came here to see if anyone knows if any people make custom ski boots/skis (if thats a thing).
We are beginner skiers and live in CA, and would get out more but he’s one of the main reasons we used to ski more and since he cant ski much anymore without pain there’s not much of a reason to go.
If anyone knows anyone that can make custom (?) boots or skis or knows of a store that makes larger-sized gear, let me know! I understand it just might not be possible and I understand, but thanks anyways!
(also i dont know too much about skis but im trying to learn so bear with me if i make some mistakes!)

Custom skis are definitely fairly accessible nowadays, boots on the other hand are not. Honestly don’t know if anyone makes a boot bigger than like a 33.5, maybe 34.5 which would be like men’s 15-16…. Good luck man

Boots aren't going to be fun, but you/he will need to go to a good boot fitter. It looks like some brands make models up to a 34.5 which is US 16/17. A good fitter should be able to take a look at his feet and see where they are big, create a custom footbed that will pull the foot into a more natural (likely shorter) shape etc. The upshot might be that he could get in one of the oversize boots as stock... but if not the fitter should also be able to stretch the plastic where needed, likely to the point where it fits as close to comfort as possible.
I remember when I worked as a fitter our biggest size was a 30.5 (13.5 approximately) and a guy came in with size 15s. Between footbed, some liner work, and a toe punch, he ended up pretty comfortable and stoked on his boots.
