ericformanTry them on. Seriously I tried on like 12 different helmets and they all felt terrible and I was like fuck helmets and then I tried on a pret cynic and it felt amazing and I bought it and now my dome is protected and I’m not annoyed at my helmet.
animatorYeah I’ve been on like a 5 year quest to find a helmet that both fits well and doesn’t make me look like Toad from Mario. I just picked up a Giro Emerge which fits really well and isn’t TOO mushroom-y so we’ll see, but it’s light and it has a recessed area in the foam that’s specifically for a giggle strap so I like that. And it’s black and black goes with everything. Definitely try them on because none of them fit the same. Some staples that are pretty common in ski shops are the Giro Ledge, Smith Maze and Oakley Mod 1. All of those are pretty, “skate inspired,” type helmets that are simple, light and are the most common helmets you’ll see on park skiers.
zejiboNeed some new protection for the dome. I had a few friends recommend me anon helmets but figured I'd come here for some final recommendations before making any decisions.
