Do these 2016 fks 140s look good enough to be reused on some newish pow skis? Theres a little crack or scratch or something on one of the heels. Thanks!
Those are like a 16/17 year (I believe). Getting up there. Still safe but usually there’s a 7 year general rule of thumb for bindings. Then again, many people still run them when they’re old so idk. Take them to a shop and get the pressure tested. I have a pair with 15/16 fks and they’re still fine. They kicked me out just fine on an overshoot last season.
No problem at all! I ski the same ones daily on my park skis.
On these orange ones, the paint cracks and drops because it's sort of thick and hard layer which doesn't really stick to the metal and plastic.
I don't know why the paint is so shitty, but then again it's just the color, the actual binding underneath is bombproof
If they're good or not, the shop will tell ya when you go to get a mount. No sense asking here. As long as they're still indemnified (which they are), the shop will mount them unless something is clearly broken. There's not really any way for someone on the internet to say if a binding is functionally safe to use.
