What are you wanting to ski with them? They're both designed to excel in different areas and it's hard to give a recommendation unless we know how you like to ski, what you've skied in the past and have liked, flex preference and where you ski
Have you skied the Menace? Pretty polar opposite of an old persons ski and one of the most slept on all-mountain freestyle skis in the last 5 years imo
These skis are not at all alike there is literally zero comparison. That being said I own meridians and those things are so damn fun in just about every condition except ice.

I'm looking for an all mountain ski I can ski on hard pack, take through the trees and a bit of fresh snow. want something playful maneuverable but that will still hold a good edge and go fast. I like that the moments are wider
BiffbarfBetter ski at what? These aren't very similar skis at all, it doesn't make much sense to compare them.
I'm just looking foran all mountain ski I can ski on groomers, take through the trees and a bit of fresh snow. want something playful maneuverable but that will still hold a good edge and go fast. ....not sure why I'm comparing them, I think the moments are as wide as I'd want to go and the dynastars as narrow as I want to go
jnorrmandepends on the what your gonna be skiing, 98 and 107 are a pretty big difference
These are both kind of at the end of the range I'd want to go. Dynastar being the most narrow I'd want to go. Looking for a fun all mountain ski that can ski some powder, groomers, trees, and still have fun on some natural features

I'd recommend the dynastars. They will be more stable on groomers. I don't own meridians but I own 4frnt reverse camber skis and they're a little squirrely if not on edge. They pivot great tho. If you want a ski more catered to soft snow I'd go with the meridians. If you want a park/all mtn ski I'd go dynastars.

If these are the two ends of the spectrum you're looking at, why not look for the ski in the middle something around a 102-104 do-it-all single quiver, or buy both for a two ski quiver.
They are not very similar skis, and buying one of them expecting it to ski enough like the other would be a little silly I think.
menace 98 is a great ski. I am so glad I pick them up a couple seasons ago and they are great for all sorts of skiing. I have other fatter skis for deep pow but I've tested out the menace in some fresh untracked snow and had fun with them there too. Never tried the moments but they also look sick and I'm with you I'd pick up both if you can. Have a rad season OP
I have the menace 98 in 187 and its badass, way better than it should be. I got it because it was super cheap used and needed a narrow ski, i ride it way more than i thought i would, great firm and spring ski if you like damp skis. blisters review is spot on. I love most moment skis ive tried, if you can afford it get both if you dont already have any skis, as they will cover 90% of what you need and would make a great combo, also the menaces should be cheap.
I love the meridians for anything that's not ice, as long as the snow is slightly soft they'll rip groomers etc, and nice and stiff. But if you're going to be spending more time on groomers/park the meridians are not the move
Thanks everyone for the help! Ended up getting a brand new pair of meridians, and found a great deal on some used dynastars. Just need some bindings and I’m good to go!

187 Menace 98s are super fun. I'm larger, and I prefer longer, more directional skis most of the time, but like to keep a park ski in the quiver. This is it, and it's damp and stable enough for me with that 2200+ g/ski weight, as long as I ski fairly centered. It has a fairly large sweet spot for what it is though, I feel less likely to go over the bars than on the On3p Kartel 108s I had.
The Wildcat 101 would be a great ski too. I've skied the PB&J, which is very similar. I like them just as much as Menace 98s, but the Moments are stiffer and more charger, with an even larger sweet spot. The Menaces are more buttery and better for learning new tricks, but still pretty damp and stable.
