Faction Prodigy 1.0 Mounting Thread

I know this has been discussed previously, but I wanted to restart the conversation on Faction's recommended mounting points. At -2.5 cm, Newschool feels awfully far back for park skiing. (You really notice this on rails and riding switch.) It does perform great all mountain, however.

Has anyone successfully mounted their 1.0s at true center, ahead of the factory recommended line? Seems a lot of pros are between -1 and -1.5. Just worried about fighting side cut.

I've skied them at true and at -1.5cm. Both were absolutely fine but I did prefer -1.5cm for a bit more ability to drive the tips on groomers.

I've never loved true center and usually mount -2 -2,5 even for dedicated park. But I dont spin to win either.

I have my prodigy 2s at -1.5
-2.5 doesnt seem bad at all, thats not very far at all. i used to have them mounted at reccomended freestyle (2020 model) but i moved them forwards.

Moving the binding forward the ski definintly takes a touch more work to turn, but I like the more balanced feeing. it comes down to if you value the more balanced feeling for park, or the better turn for more all mountain skiing. -1.5 does both pretty well, and from what I know its what some team members use

pretty much all bindings well let you do +1 or +1,5 no issue

from what ive heard once should be fine, i got a shop to do it just to be on the safe side

As others have said on this thread, going maybe plus .5 to plus 1cm would get you to get you in the -2cm to -1.5cm back from Center range which would be the max I’d go for you.
Maybe plus 1cm for mostly park and plus .5cm for more of a mix? No advantage going more forward that that as you will be fighting the sidecut.

I have all my 21 CT skis and my Prodigy 3.0 around 1cm-1.5cm back from Candide line, so around the “progressive/in between” mount point area.

I’m old though and only do occasional park kickers and never rails. Lol
More “all mountain” use and I like to drive the ski.

You will see exactly zero real improvement to switch skiing at center versus 2.5 back

Daniel Hanka rides his 3.0s at -4 and throws down in the park. Anywhere forward from there will easily suit park on the 1.0s. -1.5 to -2.5 if you're gonna venture out of the rail line might be nice.
