Are my honey badgers way too short?

I'm an intermediate skier but beginner in park. I prefer cruising, and I don't plan to do any crazy jumps, no flips, maybe not even 360 when (my sense of balance gets wacky once I start spinning).

My stats: 180cm, 145lbs, main skis are Elan ripsticks 88 in 172cm

My goals: box, rail, probably not more than 180, but mainly I want to ride switch and learn how to do butters

My honey badgers are 167cm. They were really cheap so why not. And given that I plan to go slow I thought they would be fine. Now I'm having second thoughts since I now want to get more comfortable with riding switch. I'm hoping that mounting center would still be ok but they would feel like beginner ski length and if I go slow I think they will be ok, but maybe not.

Maybe a lil short but as a beginner they should be fine to learn on. Few cms wont make or break your progression. If anything itll make tricks easier but wont look as good. So yeah use em and enjoy them! Just make sure next time u buy skis to look in the 180cm range

a bit short yes, but you won't die. just make sure to maybe get some longer skis next time.

I used undersized rossignals on the park for a year or two when I was a bit younger, if anything, it’ll make it easier to throw em around. You can rip with smaller skis.

Its fine. If you start feeling wobbly / unsupported get longer skis. I learned how to ski on 172s and am a bit bigger than you. They will obviously be trash in pow / variable snow / skiing fast. But you will *know* when you need to move up in size, its pretty obvious.

I'd say like 1-2cm behind dead center for a beginner park skier. Dead center can force you to ride around back seat and at your height you might want some more ski in front. I always go .5cm behind dead center and probably wouldn't notice the difference if I did dead center but I'm on like my fifth pair of skis at that mount point and I like it. I'm also kinda short and have skis slightly taller than me so adding extra tail won't sacrifice too much ski in front.
