This is a pretty epic thread, all the comments has me rolling.
Cheers to all the Sego riders out there making the mountain your playground! I plan to be one one when I return to the states and want a ride in the bus!
Great to see a company like this come out of Idaho, keep it up @SegoSkiCo
Lmao who got obliterated by mr chad lvl 3 telemark?
"Ski Phd" embodies everything wrong with PSIA and the culture among the upper ranks of ski school. Also, he should be banned for promoting himself and website, thats against the rules you know.
I hate psia and I was an instructor. They kill the soul in skiing.

Same here. I loved instructing, just hated the people who bragged about their PSIA rank and thought what makes someone a 'good' skier is if the ski in textbook form. PSIA would have everyone skiing like robots if they could.
Same. I enjoyed instructing and breaking things down in practical terms. I used to say “The book would have you do this, but in reality/practical terms - do this”. I knew quite a few Level 2s who weren’t good skiers too. I used to explain to my roommates (who were also instructors) “psia is about being a teacher, not necessarily a good skier”. They finally believed me when they overheard level 3 trainers trashing said level 2s skiing.

Sounds about right. In my ski school, our arguably best skier, Dan, would get criticized behind his back a ton cause he held his arms out wide while making large groomer turns down our tiny Midwest hill. I've skied with Dan at boho and he would put all them to shame in the trees and bumps.
That’s funny he got criticized for that because a L3 trainer told me to do that and it really changed my skiing for the better.
Any reason to criticize I guess

c-frieswhen I was instructing, PSIA ski school people told me I “skied like a park rat” because it looked like I was skiing “with my hands in my pockets.”
They thought this was disgraceful. I thought it was a compliment.

I'd watch your tone with a dual lvl 3 in Alpine AND Telemark.

"No stupid park rat kid, you are SUPPOSED to be struggling for balance with your arms spread wide and your legs stiffer than my weewee after I clip a kids pass"

They’re OBSESSED with the bent 100. I don’t get it
WoFlowz
Not even cap that’s what I thought when I skied my dads chettys and toured on them
I’m convinced 90% don’t actually know what a “good” ski is and just collectively ride the bc100 as a subreddit because they’re not too expensive, mainstream, and they see threads like this about how great of a ski it is. GROUPPP THIIIINKKK

It's a pretty solid jack of all trades master of none ski honestly. Great starter ski for the skiing they do over there.
I don't know if construction is any different for him but that easytigers kid makes them look absolutely banger in the park, but he also has some of the best style in comp skiing today.

I’m not trashing the ski. I actually rode it for the majority of the season a couple years ago and agree it does a lot of things pretty well. You said it best though, it’s a great “starter” ski for what r/skiing is doing which is taking two trips a year from Texas to Alta or Breck
