A little bit of stoke. Things are looking up in life, graduated, got a good job. Finally, in a month or two I'm gonna fulfill my dream of buying a bike a nice, new, bike. I've already talked to the dealership, still waiting on taking my basic riders course though (ridden motorcycles throughout my life, but it makes insurance cheaper).

I'm pretty deadset on an FZ-07 (mt-07 if no fz's are for sale). Any other potential sub 8k bike suggestions? Anyone else here ride? What's the coolest ride you have done or what is your favorite/dream bike?

I have a ninja 1k that is a lot of fun. Have a couple friend that have yamaha fz's and love em. Really can't go wrong with a bike from the japanese big 4!

Fz-09 are really nice, and low cost compared to say a street triple



I've got a Daytona 955i bikes are fun, but I'm not sure I love it, I don't really have enough restraint, and my drivers license is attached to my career so catching an excessive speeding charge would really suck.

I really hope the dealer can find me an FZ. Even though it is technically the same as an MT it really isn't. FZ's just look so much prettier

Im a cruiser type myself. Motorcycles are a big part of my life as my grandpa influenced me towards the Harley side of things.
My current ride while I am here in the U.K. 2007 Honda Rebel. Takes me around town and to the skate areas.


My collection back in the States. 2 smoker on the trails, old kick start Shovelhead, a few low riders and a sporty for my wife. All slightly modified.lol I worked at a few shops many years back.
I have rode a fair amount of sport bikes and they are fun but belong on a track IMO. Worked at a Honda dealership and would take a CBR 600 out in Grantsville,UT a few times a year.
Hope you are able to pull the trigger on the bike purchase! Two Wheels and Two Planks Forever!

Used to have a DRZ400SM. Been really feeling the itch to get another dirt bike, dual sport or supermoto. Even put a class 3 hitch on this fucking ford escape to accompany a motorcycle trailer hitch lol

I want one but you're asking to die around here. Traffic is insane, roads are trash. High chance of getting run over by a $60k SUV. Dude I work with has a zx10 and an SV650 (and has been hit twice by people who didn't see him) and another woman has an R3 and I think some sort of Honda NC thing. I kinda still want a cbr300r to putt around on, take a few things off and make it lighter. Simple engine to maintain.

If I lived near a track I'd buy a track prep ninja 300, R3 or sv650 or something.

I'm short and I sat on a blue FZ07, which is a nice bike, but it's like a stretch for me to touch the ground on that, even with one leg.

Tw200? My girl had one of these. Impossibly heavy. Get something with a little guys you'll grow out of that thing really fast. If you're in Canada get certified on a bike 250cc and up and you can ride anything I think anything under and you can only ride anything under 250.

Yeah, I know its heavy and slow but that's kinda the point for me. I really just want a bike for putzin around to the trailhead to ride my MTB. Like mellow fire roads and stuff. I think if I had something more powerful and more agile I don't have the self control to not do wheelies everywhere.

Fz07 would be a super fun bike. Riding has been a fun hobby, enjoying it more than skiing maybe? (Don’t flame pls)

Picked up an sv650s last fall. Scratches my go fast itch and has been saving me money commuting to work and running small errands. Seating position on its pretty aggressive for what it is, not sure if I should go for a race bike or a sport tourer next. Thinking zx6r, gsxr750, or sv1000 for next bike but it’ll be a while to save up some more dough.
