r00kieDon't over think the skis. Most kids skis are all the same; foam core and small radius. As long as the boot fits, bindings release as intended, and the bases glide you'll be good.
WoFlowzI’ve done a bit of instructing as a volunteer when the freestyle team and ski school have needed help. I’m becoming an instructor this winter. Tbh the skis don’t really matter to much as long as their a good length and not to stiff. I find kids have more fun on twin tips just cause of them mostly being softer and allowing them to mess around and ski backwards. As for motivation after they get the basics down and can ski down a hill safely try to find things they like to ski. If the kid likes to ski trees ski some moguls and trees with them. If you’re bringing multiple kids try to split the time between what they like to do. It’ll make it more enjoyable for them all.

SavageBiffThat’s cool I’d enjoy something like that.
you don’t think twins would have a slower progression for learning carves? Neither of them ready to ski switch, want them to learn the fundamentals so they are ready to actually do the stuff they want whatever it may be
mystery3Get the menace or one with some rocker and width. Rocker makes it easier to initiate and release turns and width helps stability at low speeds. Flat tail skis are garbage for learning.
OregonDeadI’d get those menace teams since they have matching graphics as my menace 98s. I’d be awesome to have matching skis with the kid
