I’ve been spending a lot of time hiking and mountain biking alone recently and it freaks me the fuck out. There’s a lot of bears and crackheads where i go, and being alone around that shit is scary. It’s pretty far in the middle of nowhere too. I cannot go into the woods without thinking somethings behind me and i just cannot stop thinking about dying out here or something. And i’ve spent my whole childhood in the woods, but this is new. Anyone else have this
No reason to be scared OP, the bears will eat the crackheads first giving you time to get away.
But for real, make sure to lock up your car and dont keep anything valuable in it or on you while out in the woods and carry a can of bear spray if worried about being attacked by a bear or crackhead.
I don't have many predators in my local trail system but I know people that bike with a can of bear spray in their bottle cages in the deeper wooded regions.
skiP.E.I.Wearing a hat with big paper "eyes" on the back can help make predatory animals more cautious about following you.
Will slapping googly eyes on the back of my bike helmet suffice?
The only thing you have to fear is fear itself, relax nothing will happen to you in the middle of nowhere by yourself although it can be kinda creepy sometimes.
