Intuition Liner in Touring Boot Question

I think it doesn't matter either. What it really boils down is does it make your feet more comfortable overall without causing excessive sweating while touring that helps create blisters? The comfort is worth it, especially when touring! And who wants cold feet on the lift?

I think if you tour 20 days a year and are not doing intense and long ascents then that type of extra weight from that liner is just fine. Make your feet comfortable, nothing ruins the sport quicker than unhappy feet.

I loved my pro tongue tours. They were a great upgrade from the factory liners in my factory lupus. Muuuuuuch nicer than whats in the AXs. I personally don't like the wrap liners as they don't jive well with my shins.

Ive been touring in power wraps inside of a pair of cochises for years. I have a pair of scarpa F1s that have a much thinner intuition liner as well...

Id suggest the pro wrap or pro tour any day. Im likely to chuck a pair of pro tours into my cochises next chance I get..

I also made the move from the stock AX120 liner to Intuition to take up a bit more volume - went with the Pro Tour Tongue. Got them fitted at Intuition HQ and sounded like they had a couple different volumes I could pick from. Also went tongue because I have skinny calves and Tom (the Intuition fitter) was saying the tongues flex with skinny calves better rather than bulging out.

I find they might actually be a touch less stiff than the stock liners, which was surprising (maybe I just gained some weight in the season between), but generally pumped on them and they definitely take up the volume of the boot better than the packed-out stock ones. Only put like 20 days on them so far but got a range of tours, park laps, etc. and never been unhappy about it.

No idea on the comparison of warmth though sorry - I'm on the West Coast and don't think I've ever felt like any of my boots were too cold.

I have the Dalbello AX120s as my inbounds and touring boot. I ski inbounds 80 days per winter and get out touring 20, so I'm doing a lot of both. The stock liners in the Dalbellso are super thin (for weight savings I'd imagine) which makes them really cold and leaves a lot of room around my calves.

I want to put in some Intuition liners in for 1.) warmth and 2.) increased volume. I know that Intuiton makes a touring-specific liner, but those are also pretty thin. I'm wondering if it is stupid to put a regular Intution (non-tour version) in a touring boot? The guy at the shop told me yes, but a friend of mine who works at a different shop says it doesn't matter. As a side note, wrap liner vs tongue liner?

If you are wanting to do any real amount of touring and take your tongues out to tour then yeah it's stupid to put a standard wrap liner in there. (unless you're gonna get fancy and modify it yourself).

If you want to fill some space, stiffen your boot up have a Dalbello dealer order an ID Max Hike 102 liner for you.
It is thicker than the Intuition Tour Wrap but uses the same foam and will fill that boot a lil better. It is the one that comes with the Panterra 130 ID. It still walks but will fit and ski closer to a standard wrap liner. In my experience should give you a bit more what you are looking for. That's my go to for setting up Lupos.

I have the high density intuitions that I used on a tour with my lupos and I definitely noticed an increase in resistance to walking. I'd say get liners for the downhill and keep using the stock liners for touring/add support with extra foam.
