Not sure if these are really considered nostalgic, but they're a pretty early Public Enemy. I'm also curious to see what older skis people have. Show your collection!
I have a pair of 2006 Invaders, 2 pairs of Seth pistols, a pair of 2011 Henrik pros, 2004ish k2 factory test twin tips. I'll get a photo of them next time I organize my ski pile.
WoFlowzYo my friend found the same public enemy’s in someone’s bulk trash with near perfect bases and edges
That's sick. My dad got these for free and they came with the matching bindings but they're on a buddys skis rn. The bases are pretty good and the edges are amazing. I don't think they've ever touched a rail.
little1337I never had a pair but god did I want the invaders
I had these skis back in my formative yrs. they were fun little noodles. Flexible as fuck. Got a nose delam in one season which was weak but otherwise pretty good skis.
These were my first twins (dynastar troublemakers) and they performed great but were pretty heavy for a 78 mm underfoot ski and the edge durability was terrible. Base was pretty fast tho.
In like 2003-2005 a huge number of pros were riding troublemakers (matt phillipi, the 3 phils, t rainville, and vanular)
im pretty sure todays dynastar and rossi twins havent kept up with the best twins today. Maybe they have idk. I just dont really trust french engineering. Socialists either suck at engineering themselves or scare all the good engineers away to capitalist countries.

Nice. I remember the first time i saw pistols in a store and i thought they were powder skis bc they looked so much wider than anything else. They were only 95 UF tho which is nothing today lol.
Does k2 still sell the same basic ski today? Because i remember there were a ton of pros in the early days repping pistols so i assume they were good skis.
Still have mine. And the Concepts they were based off. Concept Pro were candide's first pro model. I got my Dynastar Concepts in 1998
jiminy peak circa 1998 before terrain parks were terrain parks and you dug your own jumps before ski patrol noticed
I remember these k2 Silencers being the first ski that I thought the topsheet was so sick. Never actually ended up getting them but I thought they were the shit.
My first twin tips. Doubly stoked because they were Line. I even got the Line bindings with the 4 screw mount pattern. They were pretty bad so we returned them and swapped them out.
Trouble makers were sicckkkkk

Hell yeah I remember those days, then they had a sketchy 60-70 footer there as well. Jiminy will always have a place in my heart.
The very first pair of skis I owned: K2 press 169cm from 2015. I still occasionally see a pair on the slopes and they never fail to bring a smile to my face.
Got the Foil’s for free when I was 12 from my cousin as a Christmas gift. That same season I got a pair of those Line Masterminds as my first park ski.

Me and a couple buddies were the ones who convinced the groomer at the time, Mike, to build it bigger. It was a 12' tall cheese wedge jump with no landing. just had to send it and it was great! Apparently too many beginners were skiing over it and dropping to flat breaking bones.. kind of take the whole "look before you leap" tagline seriously. We then had him build a 35' jump at the top of the terrain park that was much better and actually had a landing.
Old guy here- Salomon 720's to 1080's (so stiff, so bad), then moved to 2005 Armada AR5'S got into a sandwich construction like the Red Rossi Scratches and broke an edge day 1- then finally got the dynastar troublemakers with some pivots - light, flexy with pop - great times on TM's...
I think it was Line’s second year. The first they had the orange 1260 and the black Ostness Dragons. The second year they added the Darkside and made the Ostnesses red. My memory could be bad though.
JhaekLine Darkside - pretty sure it was Line's first year making skis. My first twintips.
Extremely nostalgic.

im still trying to find a pair of OG yellow 1080s. I already have the Rossi Pow Air and Dynastar Concepts. trying to find the 1080s. still got them?
felt like every single gnarly old dude who would be yelling and chuggin beers in the line for first chair on pow days had these skis when I was growing up, I've always wanted a pair
Atomic Blog. I paid $450 for these practically new with STH16's. I progressed my pow skiing a lot with these. Got my first face shot on skis, first core shot.
I could never make a ski like this work for me now (too soft) but these were really fun at the time.

I think I know where I could buy a pair of trouble makers for cheap, should I do it?
