Replying to Has freeskiing defeated snowboarding?

Back in the day before half of yall were even born, i had to sneak into the terrain parks, boarding was the "Cool" thing and it seemed like skiing was on the decline.

But in recent years it seems like there's fewer and fewer snowboarders on the hill and especially in the park. Three kings lift at PC seems like a 4:1 ski to board ratio and none of the boarders are really throwing down. I never see boarders really ripping the big mountain stuff these days at snowbird either.

Am I crazy or is it just utah?
