Is it worth to buy skis with holes in them?

Wusgood NS. My friend wants to sell me some skis he got last year. He skied them a couple times this season and now he’s mounting the bindings on another pair of skis. The ski is a Harvest Homegrown 187. Poplar wood core. He wants 250$ for them (normally 800$ new). I have some pivot 14s that would work but the thing is I’ve never remounted a pair of skis and I’m wondering if it’s worth. I’m not doing any free ride world tour shit but I’m an aggressive skier who likes big lines. Are the skis gonna crack?

2 sets of holes is fine, 3 sets of holes is pushing it, the shop I worked out would turn you away if you were trying to do a 4th mount on skis.
I say you'll be fine, I've ridden lots of remounted skis.

Harvest skis are sick, I say do it. That’s a steal. 2nd mount is no problem.

no issue as long as the old holes are filled well and you're okay not having first choice where you mount them; might have to move them a little up or back depending on the last set of holes

Ok word. He mounted them traditional and I’m thinking pretty close to center so hopefully shouldn’t be an issue

You’ll be gucci, 2 sets of holes aren’t bad but if the old set was mounted for 26.5 boots, and you have 28.5, things can get hairy if you are dead set on keeping your mount point on what you want it. I will ski nothing but a center mount in the park, and I had to eventually retire a pair of skis because the new holes were too close to the old ones. They were stripped, and I couldn’t put heli coils in because they literally would have ran right up against the old hole and fucked things up. It’s kinda tricky tbh.
