Pimp My Full Tilt Drop Kick!?

Hello fellow freeskiers.

For introduction: My boot size is 31,5 mondopoint, meaning I have trouble finding fitting boot.

This winter I did find FT DK of my size from local store and that boot fit perfectly.
The thing is just that next winter I looking to also ski Finnish Lapland backcountry and participate in amateur skicross events.

I do not wanna go true the trouble to find and pay for touring and giant slalom boots.
So, four things to pimp with my FT DK.

1: Cast Touring Boot Conversion to make my boot work at backcountry.
2: FT 4mm forward lean insert to make my boot work at skicross course. (Quickly exchangeable part)
3: Booster strap is this necessary? I do not have trouble with shine bang, but do this make tightening easy?
4: Custom insole, the only thing I do not like about my FT DK is the insole, making custom should fix that problem.

Please give me any suggestion you might have.

Can already tell you the drop kicks won’t be compatible with the cast freetour system. You’re gonna need a boot with pins and to my knowledge you can’t really add that to a boot

Do you already have pin bindings? If not why not just go with daymakers.

Cast isn’t compatible with normal pins, if my memory serves me correct

I have Look Pivot 15 bindings allready mounted, so Cast will be my solution.
CatdickBojanglesDo you already have pin bindings? If not why not just go with daymakers.

Not that big. Just because of allready mounted LP15, I do not wanna make new holes to my ski. Also my ski Armada Magic J is not the best for touring, I just wanna get up the arctic hills in Lapland.

Daymakers are going to save you a ton of money and boot work. Especially if your are not making long tours.

I was in a similar boat as you. Just needed something for light tours early season/late season and to some certain zones. Except I had pivots 12s so I got the daymakers. The nice thing about them is that you can use them on any ski and 350usd is a lot less then cast, pins for your boots or new boots

What is your shoe size? I wear a 30.5 but "technically" am a 31.5. I'd most likely recommend sizing down.

Can’t speak to the other two, but I have both a Booster and custom footbeds on/in my Full Tilts. Both of those are must-have additions to every boot I buy.
