Skiing in Northern Alberta

Bit of a shot in the dark here but wondering if anyone on NS is located anywhere in northern Alberta? By north I mean getting up towards the NWT border. Fort Vermilion to be exact. Im relocating there for work next week and I'm trying to get my skiing expectations in check. I'm thinking my best bet is touring but I'm not convinced they get enough snow up there for that. Anyways, I'd love to hear if anyone has any info on the subject

Dang bro, idk anything about skiing up there but I looked up fort vermillion and it looks like a wild place to live. Have fun!

Save up that rig money and ball out at sunshine in the late spring. Apparently there are 2 hills within 5 hours, called misery mountain and fairview. They don't look great lol

Get some cross-country skis and learn to love them. That's a rough place to be for downhill.
