Recently purchased some ARV 86 skis to replace my moment frankenskis that I ripped the edge out of. After 2 times of use with moderate rail use I have two hairline edge cracks, yes I had them detuned. I’m just wondering how long until water gets in there or my edge bends and pops out? I put some epoxy and tried sautering the cracks.
I detuned the hell out of my last skis and got two hairline cracks as well. They were fine. I avoided rails for the most part after though and sold them for cheap.
This picture always makes me feel less worried about edge cracks ripping out
holy shit, my homie has a pair of defective color changing wets and he’s got like serrated edges now cuz he’s missing like 3 pieces after only like 3 months of resort park riding.

Pretty sure the skis I had were edge high. Also, that resort I was riding is pretty bad about maintaining their rails so I’m not surprised in hindsight haha
