BigPurpleSkiSuitNever skiied it but from what I gather not really a ski made with freestyle in mind
Treegrabberpretty Heavy, they might not spin very well. I’ve never skiied those pretty boys tho so I’m not to sure how they whip
LazylightningThat's what I thought and also what attracted me to it, but the fact that people like to ride it at +2 makes me think it does better with the occasional spin than many other directional chargers
edit: @BigPurpleSkiSuit you have done an excellent job of re-accumulating internet points after the great karma purge of December 2020

animatorPretty sure @hot.pocket spins these around occasionally
hot.pocket
Ski doesn't match my preferred skiing style at all and is honestly too burly for me. Both @tcurle and @jakeordie ski it pretty regularly though.
LazylightningRead the blister review, can these spin/ski switch well? They have pretty low tail taper but the rec mount of -8 and the fact that people seem to like +2 from rec has me interested in how they feel in the air......has anyone here ridden them? If so, what length do you have and where did you mount?
SavageBiffIf they are anything like the 108s they can land switch but don’t carve switch well,t they aren’t gonna sink tho.
And they’re not super heavy to spin, but there’s considerably more tip weight than a lot of skis.
I ride at rec, also ride the rmu yle at -5.5, it’s super easy to ski, quite damp, spins great , butters and skis and lands switch very well, I would take it over a commander
LazylightningHow heavy and chargy are the yles? Also do you have the 110s or 118s? I'm looking mainly for stability and dampness here because I have other more playful skis for when I wanna fuck around
Edit: I think the 108s and 118s are pretty different, seems like a mindbender 108ti vs 116c type deal (each have different purposes)

SavageBiffI have the 118s, I honestly don’t know the exact gram weight of the yle 118, but they’re barely lighter than my b ops but waaay more fun especially in pow, they don’t charge as well, but they’re damp and can move thru some chop n crud, the swing weight feels lighter than the weight suggests, they’re great switch, spins, steeps whatever, def heavier than my 108 commanders and equally damp, commanders a better on piste carver, I think the commander 108 and 118 are very similar with the 118 just being heavier and more of a charger.
fwiw there’s nothing I’d ski on a b ops or Corvus that I wouldn’t also ski on my yle, if anything I feel most confident, sure and safe on the yle, but if you really wanna charge a commander or b ops would be great.
LazylightningDefinitely gonna have to check them out, might be able to make it to breck for a demo too. Also per the 21/22 gear thread I'm thinking a 192 b ops could be the answer lol
tcurleI'm mounted at +2. I can spin them no problem and there's enough of a tail to land switch. It's a directional ski made for charging, which I'm sure you got from Blister, but the mount point doesn't inhibit its maneuverability if you're throwing tricks all over the hill.
I've got a few shots on them in here:
