Separated core on chronics?

Hey dudes, I recently damaged my new chronics (base and edge) and I repaired them but the ptex cracked open to reveal what looks like two stringers separating in the core. Opinions? Help? Any is greatly appreciated.

You do need proof of purchase though, really gotta get better at keeping reciepts

Do it as soon as you buy the product. I did mine today for line. Takes 2 seconds

Yea I was gunna say... lol.

If u can't get them warrantied you need to take them to a shop, they will be able to semi-permanently fix it, and it shouldn't be more than $50. Continuing to ski on them is gunna ruin them for good.

Holy shit. Im pretty sure warranty should cover that op. Did you notice it when it happened? Did you like hit a rock or something?

How could anybody think warranty would or should cover such a thing? It looks like OP skied over a table saw. Clearly not caused by some manufacturing defect.

This is certainly a repair for somebody who knows what they're doing, including bonding the split core, putting new base material in and fixing the edge and blown sidewall. Definitely not just a simple ptex drip and file repair.

I had already got some ptex repairs at a shop done on them for a coreshot but after a pretty tame run I inspected them and found the mother of all cracks under them and now I’m scared to touch them. The initial coreshot might’ve caused this. I’m trying to warranty them first but if it doesn’t work I’ll get them repaired again. As for the potential repairs do you guys know what should be done? I’m kinda new to this but I’d epoxy the crack, clamp it then fill the base with metal grip and ptex. That or I’m gonna buy a shitbox pair of skis.

Here’s a clearer pic of the whole thing I’m kinda sad about these I liked them a lot for the 10 days they were intact. I don’t know how I fucked them up this bad but if any company needs a stress tester I’m the guy for the job.

I’m not sure how to properly gage if the core is rotten so I’m gonna take your word for it but the green stuff is glue on the edge keys. As for skiing with holes in the base I only skied to get off the mountain once I noticed the damage. That shit seems daunting to fix tho do you have any idea as to how to do it?

No it doesn’t move at all. I included some more pictures to help understand it or just for others to laugh at my suffering:







The sidewall and edge on this last section have both been slightly pushed. The crack seems to end halfway up the ski at its worse.
