Liners in the boots or out?

Up until recently I always put my boots on with the liners in the shells. But I recently got the new FT pro tongue liner and struggled getting it in the right way. Then my buddy blew my mind he told me to put the liner on and tie it up tight then put the shell on. And holy shit it works better than the normal way.


Anyone else do this or is it just me?

This is the normal way to put on boots that have lace-up liners. Racers have been doing it this way forever.

Just be aware - this can really chew your liner up, especially in the heel area.

Dont forget to be barefoot as well, those thick socks can really dampen your chakras and skiing energies.

No shit my buddy used to not buckle his boots when he first got FTs and ate shit one time and his liner was left on his foot but the rest of his boot and ski kept going.

that's standard for lace-up liners. most people with race boots have to do this. I have fits and I just put them on normally.

Yeah I usually put the liners on first then jam them in the boot. I find doing it by hand it's hard to get the liners in the right position.
