How can we fix comp judging?

Basically give ideas on how to improve judging in competitions. I think that it would be cool if skiing adopted a scoring system similar to figure skating. In figure skating, with your overall score being part difficulty and execution of trick and part artistic. I think big air would be really cool if your score consisted of two separate scores, one for difficulty (dub 12 vs triple 18 plus grab choice) and one for style (how clean the trick was, tweaked grab, axis etc.) What do you guys think would improve comps?

Is it that bad? I mean we have knuckle huck and real ski. The rail section was disappointing on slopstyle I guess. Like if andri wants to dominate big air whatever.

Also, Chloe Kim is so dominate in half pipe she literally put down one run she knew would win and then switched it up completely and went for style. That was super tight.

That’s dope. Woulda loved to see andri throw a slow ass cork 3 w a tweaked af mute but I’m convinced he can only throw aerials

Who gets the X games medal? The guy doing a styled cork 5 or the guy doing a triple 1800 with 3 grabs in it? If you want to express muh self with muh skiin go film a video part instead of participating in X game wendy's super big jump air.

I like the idea of having more judges, and not letting the judges talk to each other. Delete to top and bottom scores and then give an average.

good idea. FIS emplyees are the most mean ass people i’ve encountered while working in alpine ski word cup. i doubt they do any good in freeskiing.

First of all I think we should know who the judges are and how they judge. Second of all I think they should give some sort of explanation to why they give the score the do. But most importantly, the judges should be people who know what they’re doing and by clearly saying who the judge is we can have an idea of there knowledge in skiing thus removing the “wow many spins” factor that I feel exists today.
