J Skis - Sizing Help

Hi all. I need some help with sizing for the J Ski Masterblaster. I am 5'11 and 170 pounds. I am between a 175 and 181. I am an east coast skier, mostly groomers, some pow and really enjoy the whole mountain. I would view myself as an advanced / expert - not pro worthy but pretty good for a 47 year old. I can handle most anything. Really appreciate any advice you may have.

181 no question.

Reach out to J he’s really responsive. That being said it’s almost certainly the 181. They measure short and have some tip tail rocker. I would much rather the 187 at your size than the 175.

Thank you. It seems there is a consensus...181 without much question. Do you think the 181 will be pretty maneuverable and get on edge fairly easily with a 96 waist? My current East coast carvers are skiing 78 waist. Thank you as this would be my first mid fat twin all mountain.

I’m on the poachers with a 96 waist and 184 length. I’m about 160 pounds so you will have no problem maneuvering.

181 for sure. I can’t say about the master blasters but other J’s tend to feel a little shorter than you would think for their listed length. I’m 6’ 180 and I have been riding The Friends in 189 this season and love them, almost went 183 but so glad I got them longer.
