So here is my idea, I have a few extra tongues laying around and to get more range of motion from my boot I was thinking about taking a set of extra tongues and cutting the top off. I want to retain some heel hold to prevent blisters and comfort. Main drawback would be carrying an extra tongue in my pack for the downhill and swapping tongues at the top of the hill.
But I would get some extra range of motion to make longer strides which would be awesome. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this? Below is a pic where I think I should cut them (right above middle cable) but I might go lower.
