OregonDeadare we talking like zero lines, ski right on to the chair with hero cord? I'd take that like almost any time
TOAST.Idk, never had a legit pow day at a real mountain, how long am I waiting in the lift line after every run? More than 15 minutes, I'd take the park day.
theabortionatorCurious people's feels. How pow hungry you are, and how ok, or not okay you are with lines.
Holt_upHaha is this because crystals lines lately? Its been absurd, some of the worst i've seen it
gofastturnlefthonestly nothing better than finding leftovers on a pow day after it gets tracked out
freestyler540This one is a no brainer; empty sunny park over crowds any day. I hate waiting in line ups. I dont know how people can wait 20mins in line for a run... I wish I could have my consciousness removed and be as brainless as people who wait in lines.
abar.In my experience, if you just have the patience to wait in a long line twice in the morning and stick it out everyone else will leave and not come back the rest of the day and you'll have no line and plenty of goods all afternoon
TOAST.I hate amusement parks for this reason. the worst people are those that wait in line for hours to a get a donut or burger at some shitty restaurant chain.

SuspiciousFishThe best days by far are the zero visibility puking snow sideways storm days where even your own tracks are gone by the time you get to the top of the lift. Usually you have to stay in the trees so you dont get caught on a cliff band or something but oh man those are the most epic days. You are just in your own little world with all this chaos blowing around you. Usually no lines at all, even the lifties kind of give you a look like, "Damn, I hope I see this dude again..."
Growing up in the PNW that was what Pow Days were, I didnt even know what a Blue Bird pow day was until I moved to Colorado. Its alright but not the same at all.

freeskibum82to add to the mix.. what about a crowded park day. aka.. any day on Nitro at Carinthia. All those kids who cant ski that dont know park etiquette with their vishnus and no poles. damn place is like the LIE.
finderIf you know all the spots at your local, you don't need pow days to ski pow. I'll still show up on a pow day to bomb pow lines that are usually groomers but most of the deep snow I get lasts a while in the woods.
The.FishI don't really understand the hype about groomers. Moguls are the place to be on a normal day if the snow is somewhat soft.
f100prerunnerPeople saying non pow have never skied in 2+ feet of good pow, change my mind

theabortionatorThat's a personal opinion thing. Groomers fuck if you like to get low turns and go fast. Moguls are cool too though.
The.FishI'll probably figure out the hype when I graduate college and get a proper pair of carving skis.
