LazylightningYou should definitely do this, also be interested to here how that goes lol
I tested the "fuck around on a big macho man ski" theory once with the CT3.0 in 190 on that riggity-raggity bump run under the Black Mountain Express at A Basin that I've skied a million times. It's like apples and oranges though cuz the ct's are comparatively ultra playful to the Black Ops.
What I found was that with my typical fit of 170-something-length and 90-something-width, I kinda techy-toothpick my way through the weird shaped obstacles on that run.
On the 190-something length, 110-something CT3s, I just kinda bombed straight spending like 50% of the time hovering in the air and putting a little 15° edge pivot in each time I brushedly bounced off the slope. Just like, blinked and I was at the bottom of the run overshooting the side hit lol. I'd say I was still skiing in control, but it was a bit sendy, probably at the edge of my control zone. If I wasn't familiar with the run and already had a line picked out, it might have been out of control.
I think the Black Ops will be different cuz they are so heavy and stiff and damp. I'll still be mothafuckin railing the same trajectory and motions, but I expect to have way less air time and way more impact when I put my edges in, resulting in better control cuz my turns will actually hit like a cleaver and not smear like a butterknife.
I think the speed and aggression will be similar, but different - like the ct3s would be sprinting hyena, and the Black Ops would be charging warthog.
But I'll post an update once I do the demo cuz now I'm all hyped up on this.
Edit: also, there's a ski I'm eyeing that's similar to the Black Ops Ti, so it'll give me chance to check out something in that class.
