Full Tilt Soul shell conversion

Keep getting this Flylow ad popping up and I’ve just noticed that the guy in the ad is converting a FTS shell into a tech toe touring boot. Are people actually doing this? Rumors have it that “Project X” is happening at Full tilt and it is a touring soul shell. But I thought it wasn’t possible to convert a FT ala Cast conversion due to the toe lug design.

There used to be pictures floating around of FTs with custom pin toes but ever since they put out the ascendant they are hard to find on google

You could put an insert into any boot really, does not mean it will work :)

Tom already confirmed it, there will be a Soul boot for touring hopefully in the next year or so. He unofficially confirmed it btw in another thread, didn’t actually say anything lmao

CAST only does that for boots to be designed for uphill use on their system since you switch to an alpine toe for downhill. You should definitely not have it done then expect to ski a dynafit for downhill.
