Tyler3814I am looking to buy some new skis to use exclusively on pow days and I mostly ski the Epic and Ikon resorts near Denver with the occasional trip down to Wolf Creek. I am a Type 3+ skier that likes to ski all types of terrain and I would like a ski that isn't too stiff but can still handle going fast and dropping 10-20 foot cliffs. I am 20 years old, 5'11 and 135 pounds.
mystery3What skis do you have now? What skis have you used in the past and liked or disliked?
theo1897nsrossingnol gamer
Arv 116 JJ
Bent chetler 120
Bended_ToenailHmm... these are three very different skis.
The rossi gamer is an extremely heavy ski that is definitely geared more towards charging and going fast through variable conditions and powder. Still a playful ski, but not the best option for a lot of skiers.
The JJ 116 is a freestyle orientated flexible ski that still can charge pretty hard. It is by no means a very light ski either. Very fun ski in a lot of conditions.
The Chetler 120 is a VERY light touring geared ski that still performs really well in the resort and can hold its own in most conditions. It can definitely charge really well, and it is super playful. Due to its light weight, it doesn't do great when going super fast in choppy conditions.
OP: I'd recommend the Moment Wildcat, ON3P Jeffery 116, K2 Reckoner 122, J skis Friend, Faction CT 5.0, Rossi Gamer, JJ 116, Black Crows Anima, or ON3P Billy Goat.
