Thoughts about jeff and woods

i need to get mine tuned but forgot how fun it is to cruise around on the 108 jeffery/kartel, took mine out the other day. those are fun but i like the 116 woodsman for getting weirder on

I have the Jeff 96/108.

If I could only keep one it would be the 108, but both are fun. Really really fun spring skis. Great in slush, wet and softer snow. Not terrible, but not amazing on hard snow (But is that really why you get them?).

They bust crud really well. Dem bamboo cores are thicc.

Really hard to catch an edge on these skis, so you can ski playfully, relaxed etc.

Playful, but still powerful.

I've heard TGR peeps say that you can tune the 96/108 to 1/1 from the factory 2/1 and get better hard snow performance, if that is your goal, but there would probably be some costs to that. The 96 can lay an edge more than you think it would.

Super fun skis. Sweet spot is skiing them from neutral, not driving.

Did I mention they are fun? I don't think you will go wrong with any of them. But the woodsman is probably a better directional ski than the Jeffs.

Same there just isn't that much info out about them, even on the on3p website it says nothing about them

i have a set w/ kingpins with a stock layup to play around on whenever i decide to go touring or explore some sidecountry access stuff so ill report back when i use them properly or just end up taking them out for a ski.

I own both, the kartel 108 and the woodsman 96. skied the woodsman during a demo day last year and decided i needed to buy them.

i love my kartel when the powder rolls out. but when its hardpack i wanted a skinnier ski that would charge and hold a line a bit better. and that's exactly what the woodsman does. I just had my pair mounted and am waiting for better snow coverage where i live before i bust them out. i don't want a bunch of rocks chewing up my new skis.

i also tried the wrens and ya those skis are way to traditional and hard to drive. very punishing if you get backseat at all. the woodsmans are very forgiving and not punihsing at all. on3p hit a home run here i think. i will know more as the season goes on and i ride them more.
