theabortionatorCan be cool I guess but I get way too bored. I did it and ticket checking for a little when I broke my collarbone and had the one handed ramp rake down pretty solid. Also never understood when ramps are really shot and conditions aren't bad, what else is there to pass the time?
Anyone in lifts that's bored and a decent worker I'd encourage to get into snowmaking, parks, or grooming. Even lift maintenance seems pretty dope but I haven't done much of that. Idk I just don't know if I'd last that long as a liftie. Also in addition to boredom, watching everyone shred and being stuck is kinda whack. If the wage is similar to another job, and you get a free season pass it's not that bad though.
CrunnchyVanManIt does get hella fuckin boring, I thought last season would be my last cuz I worked all day and just skied nights and it got rough, conditions are pretty static in the midwest so I never rly missed out on much with the exception of having to deal with sheets of ice..
Gonna be working at night mainly this year cuz of Schoo so I think it won't be such a drag
theabortionatorTrue, that's not too bad. Considering you can ski for a long time after work, and you're already at the mountain. It seems pretty shot at places where you're working till the mountain closes. I mean you can only ski on your off days at other jobs too, but it seems like a tease to just wait for those few breaks in the day.
