brentkimballmultiple long sleeve shirts
CatdickBojanglesCotton is a no go.
brentkimballyou just aren’t wearing enough shirts
CatdickBojanglesdoes not have a turtle neck style neck. Almost like a crew fleece.
a_pla5tic_bagIs this because you end up with too many things that have turtleneck styles and it makes it hard to bend your neck? I have this problem as well, though this year I've gotten everything except my midlayer and shell to not have turtleneck so that might help.

TwigI have two I really like for when it's cold, but I already have too many high necks/hoods on. The FW Manifest Crew Neck (insulated) and the Mons Royale Transition Pipe Jersey (thick wool blend).
tri_photoHonestly dude, this might sound dumb, but Amazon has a ton of very affordable dry-fit style mid-layers that are super comfy and keep me warm, but not overheated. I typically wear a top mid layer, maybe 2 if it is a cold pow day, a shirt over that, and a bottom mid-layer, similar to long johns but not cotton.
CatdickBojanglesDo you have any links to what midlayers you usually get?
CatdickBojanglesThe FW manifest looks perfect. How puffy is it?
TwigNot very. It's more like a sweatshirt, with a thin layer of insulation.
NightFantasiesCheck the Arcteryx outlet right now and see if they have an Atom LT hoodie in stock. I've had one for about 9 years now and it is the best overall mid layer and casual jacket I've ever owned.
