Just finished The Last of Us 2.

One of the best games I've ever played. It lacks the intricate story-telling from the first game, but makes up for it in the environment design, insane graphics and fantastic soundtrack.

Not sure what to move on to next. What's everyone else playing right now?

eheathYeah the f2p micro transactions are present, but as far as I can tell, you can play the game without buying anything at all.

The biggest change is you can climb basically everything now while on foot. The skating feels just like precious versions, maybe even smoother.

Another big change is everything is online, I'm assuming this will be the same as the full release, but all side missions reset every day so it's sort of like the side missions never go away while you play the main objectives of the game.

great to hear twice now that the skating itself feels great. is there a mega park/fun track? fun track in skate2 and build-a-park in 3 were pretty much as good as it gets for folks like us who are mostly kinda pretending they're skiing/snowboarding while playing. esp the fun track in skate 2, god damn was that thing sick

I can’t tell you how many nights me and my buddies would smash a case of beers and session the mega ramp. Probably have 100s of hours in skate and skate 2.

Probably some knock off version because the original came out on CD in like the 90's. No paying in the original.

Peak is crazy fun, one of those proximity chat four player games but you're climbing a mountain instead just grabbing loot from ghosts like all the others

I can’t find any yet, but also only half of the map is available I think. Though it has really fun street style stuff everywhere, and the map connects very well imo just skating around. You can get pretty wacky with caveman drops in places too.

To me the aspect of mega parks are scattered throughout but not a dedicated spot yet. I’m sure it will come once fully released.

Definitely recommend checking out the playtest, some diehard fans are hating on the style/f2p elements, but the gameplay, and missions will keep you entertained. It’s all I have played this month.

thanks! i know better than to trust the internet's always-negative hivemind but it's great to hear these positive reviews. def hope there's a full-on mega park though

I haven't explored the whole playtest map, but I would image the world should be huge and have everything skate 2/3 had just updated.

Nah I don't really like the shape or layout of Xbox controllers, just want a PS5 controller about 10% bigger

I got new grips for my mtb the other day and on lizardskins website I guess they make controller grips. May get you the girth you're after idk can't do anything about the length tho (relatable)

I have one and use it for 99% of my gaming now. Only thing that sucks is the abysmal battery life. It'll die in a single game session.

eBay going rate seems to be 80-90 bucks. I'd buy one in a heartbeat at that price

Nope, zero shame. Its fun and challenging, like football manager but can play on my phone. I will never be ashamed of having a good time with a game.

FakeKalmarBF 6 looks sick

Looks good, love the destruction is back. Only thing I hate is the speed of the player its like you're running around on a motorbike. Sort of lose the tactical element when the proper strategy is to just run circles around a building. Looks way better than the previous 3 though.
