good wood for building a fun box

what kind of wood do you guys recomend for building a fun box for the backyard? i need a kind that resists rotting from being outside and is strong to suppport my weight.

It was mandatory that we stoped in a skate shop in Tokyo so Bibby could by a sweatshirt. He also bought neck chains one with a Cadillac logo and the other one a cross. He was looking real ghetto until he saw two black people and removed them automatically because he was scared to get beat up.

I wanna fucking no what to make a rail out of..i guess i should just buy a rail but i cant weld or no shit so i dont know how to make it stand up and i dont want to have to make the legs everytime with snow and shit...i guess i should post this but i felt like tellin u but for ur box i use this plastic stuff that was used to make my deck and its real slick so i guess im lucky we had extra

u mgiht want to buy a wide peaice of wood and just put varnish on it and it will pretect it and it will be slick

wow i just know thought of that...thats a good idea..and i think u know how to make legs and shit

ive already got a design and a sheet of plexiglass, i just nee the wood and maybe some PVc

but if you really wan to get into detail, the best of the best wood, its cedar. it's strong, it doesn't rot very fast, nad smels damn good.

plus its Dangerous Dan's favourite building materials for stunts in B.C.

pvc makes nice rails but boxes are a bitch because they take so much maaterial. we made ours out of standard plywood...dont do that...it workd but we melted some slidy shit on it...dont do that either...plexi with coping is the dopest but good luck to ya.

For rails::

ur post about how to build a rail... really easy, make the bottom 2x4 and the supports that touch the ground our of pressure treated lumber, everything else can be normal 2x4s... use pvc and make it shot gun with 2 2in pieces or 4 1/4 tubes. Make the holes on top bigger with a larger bit so the heads of the screws are hidden inside the piping... use screws all through out


for boxes, draw up the design and use masonite, plexi or lexan on top
