Saga.Thank you for this comment. Currently Saga is still made in a separate factory. But even if we do eventually move and have our products made in the same factory as Spyder that does not mean the outerwear has to be anything remotely close to what Spyder is making. Different designers, material sourcing, construction, etc. Factories make what you ask them to make with what you give them to make it with.
MXmxYou guys are crazy if you aren’t using Spyder as a resource. It makes no business sense to duplicate procedures.
Accoring to people on this thread you’re stuff is falling apart to this day. Never heard of that happening to Spyder gear.
That proves my point that there are major problems with Saga, to this day.

Saga. You haven’t heard about people talking about Spyder products falling apart because people aren’t talking about Spyder products.
goofygoober0104Saga right now:
sindreplasseni love saga but i wish they made baggier stuff like they used to back in the day.

Saga. The reason the fit of some of our products have slid to the less baggy side of the spectrum is primarily because the annual returns due to sizing issues was becoming a real problem as we increased in brand size. When we were only selling a few hundred jackets and pants a year it wasn't much trouble. But as we scaled up to selling several thousand, and more sizes, the number of returns we were receiving because of sizing issues became unmanageable. We were seeing the amount of work that not only went into processing the returns but also in having to create the incredibly detailed size and fit guides was being outweighed by the number of people that were looking for a more reserved(or consistent and easily understandable) fit.
We've discussed trying to produce a small collection of products that are more like the old baggier fit, but it just hasn't happened for one reason or another. Maybe in the coming seasons, we can look at this project again now that we are working into a more stable financial and production system.
soupPlease do this for all us 6'+ crowd!
Also, when's the new winter gear dropping?
Saga. It’s been a rough couple of years. We moved everything(employees, inventory, operations) from slc and have found a better way to operate. This can be seen in the comments about our customer service and shipping from the past season.
We’re not ready to throw in the towel just yet.
Young_pattybro y’all didn’t ship kids stuff out for over a year, I don’t mean to be a dick but you realize how shitty that is to order something and have it not show up for over a year? like the season ended and kids didn’t even have the shit that they pre-ordered from you guys in the fall. All the while holding onto people’s money and not responding to anyone because y’all were facing financial trouble? Weak, shoulda just hit people with a refund and gone under or merged with spyder tbh- this scene doesn’t have room for more Revision type companies
soupI dunno.man the XXL gear is hella big.

eheathSo if a company makes a mistake, they just shouldn't exist? Saga has done a lot for the ski industry and they have done everything in their power to right the wrongs they did, you can't just keep bringing up the same problem after they have completely solved the problem and moved on with a new line with a new owner in a new location. You're just trying to be edgy, GTFO
Young_pattyLol dude mistakes like that kill companies, especially when your market is as niche as this one. But it clearly hit close to home since they used to be a Utah company so I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings, you’re right tho gaper kids will always line up to buy it regardless if it shows up on time or not because of how cool they used to be. New owner and location tho...yikes, hopefully the floral prints and flannels don’t ever change.
eheathI know the guys who work for saga, some better than others, I used to do contract work for Saga, I've watched Saga pump money into the industry and help create some of the best content in the last decade (4bi9, level 1, they see me trollin' to name a few) and the year before they had all these issues, the majority of their new line got robbed out of a container and they didn't recover anything until over a year later.
If you want to dislike saga, don't buy it, but get your bullshit out of this thread where Saga is doing a tremendous job communicating with the community and trying as hard as they can to climb back into the industry, why kick them while they're down?
Young_pattyDamn bro you’re really stroking yourself in a saga thread...nice lol. I won’t lie tho, I loved watching Steve step troll and Collin Collins teach me how to cork 3 but let’s be real here for a second dude, people who pre-ordered hundreds of dollars worth of saga wait an entire season plus some with 0 communication only to be told “haha oopsie daisy we in Colorado now Sowwyyy, we’ll ship your shit out right away and maybe toss a sticker or two in ;D” is a joke.
and it’s not like their snow pants are helping anyone out- they might as well be made of cornmeal and paper mache for how much the durability has fallen. Haven’t bought anything from em since I was a sophomore in highschool tho, I’ve been waiting for them to go the Orage route or go under. Remember how sick Orage masters was?
eheathLike I said, if you don't like Saga then fuck off, you're just making up bullshit now "their quality is bad" but yet you havent bought it in how many years? gtfo man
Young_pattyYeah I heard you the first time dude, but keep crying me a river. 3 years ago was the last time I used their gear- won a pair of bibs in a raffle and it took roughly 1/2 a season for them to get torn apart and and have buttons break. Just because they used to be sick doesn’t mean anyone needs to still care, there’s plenty of examples of free skiing companies fading out of existence. At this point it just sounds like a personal problem for you not being able to let go of what Saga used to be.

soupI don't know what your talking about dude ive had the same pair of monarch bibs for two seasons, 50+ days in them sledding, touring, skiing park and the only wear on them is around the one zipper I always keep my pass in.
I feel like your basing your argument on a couple of kids on ns, yet you would he the first one to argue a kid on ns isn't the person you should be quoting.
danbrownyeah i have plenty of saga shit that has lasted multiple long utah seasons. my monarch pants are going on four years strong.

Ghost-WriterTake a seat dude. You clearly have no grasp of what it takes to run a business and have no idea what was happening behind closed doors. If you're so damn butthurt about your pants ripping just don't buy their shit and shut up- lemons exist in every single production series, deal with it. Ive had saga gear last multiple seasons and so has thousands of others. They have done so much for our sport and continue to support an industry that is perpetually getting smaller. If you're one us - stay with us. if you're gonna mindlessly hate and give us all a bad name kindly gtfo.
Young_pattyThat’s awesome your saga gear has been holding up, wish I could say the same but it’s whatever, I went to Dakine bibs and they lasted great for a couple seasons but now I have a pair of 686’s that I’m excited to try.
I would definitely argue you should never base anything off a few kids on NS but this issue affected EVERYONE who bought saga gear. I noticed it all over here and even on their insta as many people were commenting asking for answers and never got any, which would infuriate me, if a company is still taking time to post and keep a social media presence they should at least be able to answer people’s questions. The whole thing stunk of Revision vibes and honestly I’m glad people eventually got their stuff that they bought a year ago.

Saga. The core of the company packed up everything from Utah during the spring summer of 2019(there are multiple NS thread posts and emails to customers about this) and moved to Boulder to have the support of a larger corporate structure.
Spyder is also under the same parent company.
Saga is not Spyder. The same way that Line is not K2.
The issues with customer service and delivery during the 17/18 and 18/19 seasons were not because of employees but because of financial problems. As others have said in this thread shipping and customer service over that 19/20 season have been smooth. We fixed that.
Saga has been quiet this summer because the parent company furloughed the 4 employees Saga has and we weren’t allowed to do any work relating to the brand. Furlough ended recently and the core of the company is back. We’re breaking off the furlough dust. We have discussed everything that has and will happen with Saga with our team riders and will be making more information public in the coming weeks.
It’s been a rough couple of years. We moved everything(employees, inventory, operations) from slc and have found a better way to operate. This can be seen in the comments about our customer service and shipping from the past season.

skeirmanHow can I get you to respond to my request for an RMA on a warranty? Like what do I need to do? Emailing doesn't work - you guys ignore them. There is no phone number on the website. What do I need to do?
@Saga.

Saga.I’m speaking about the skiers that were dropped by their outerwear sponsors or their sponsors went out of business. We’ve never publicized this but we’ve always offered jackets and pants to these skiers when they needed a jacket or pair of pants. This isn’t a statement to say we’re better than other brands. It is just a statement to prove our commitment over the years to skiing and the skiers that are passionate about their craft.
danbrownyoung patty is a huge loser and got stuffed in a locker
Young_pattyBro idek who you are but stay classy.
CatdickBojangles
Ordered last Sunday and arrived yesterday. Would’ve arrived Friday but UPS delayed it. Also shipped tomorrow CA to MD so across the country.
MXmxSweet, Saga now ships things people pay for.
skeirmanThey don't warranty them, though.

MXmxDamn, and I was starting to think that their new sugar daddy (Spyder) was turning things around.
We really need a brand of ultra high quality clothes like Arcteryx for park skiing.
