How did you feel when you bought/were given your first real gun?

I was excited as fuck to get my first gun. It was a decent quality hunting rifle, nothing too special, but when i got home and started lubing ip up and polishing it i kind of felt like “if somebody actually did invade our home, i could noscope a bitch (i dont have a scope for it yet so noscope it is), with my hunting rifle. It kind of makes you feel like you now have a new option in a life or death situation that you didnt have before.

i read a story from a few yrs ago about a few thugs who invaded a rich families home and tried to get them to like withdraw a ton of money from their bank or something and give it to them. They ended up killing the entire family thinking thag would help them get away with it but these monkeys were dumb enough to order pizza and leave their fingerprints all over the pizza box so they got caught.

if somebody in the house had a gun they could have either shot or forced to surrender the burglars before they could kill the family.

also i love how bulletproof (pun intended) the build quality is on good guns. Like you can get one of these in the picture (a ww2 german luger) that is 80+ years old that will still fire bullets with no problem. Really reliable mechanical systems like in the ak47 (also bulletproof if made by a good manufacturer) or stg44 are also really cool.






the ak47 is all things considered better than an m16/m4/ar15 because of its reliability.

but dont give russia too much credit for the ak47. The ak47 is great but at its heart it is just a clone of the german stg 44 but with a few modifications.

But 22 I think. My mom wasn't too thrilled but fuck it. Sadly I hardly have time to go shooting anymore which is why I only have a handgun for ccw and haven't bought any more; it's not that practical outside of winter months and I'd like to get a nice subcompact. I've got a Russian Mosin nagant and that's fun as fuck to shoot. Fuck Obama though and his import law he enacted so now they cost so much more and the ammo isn't as cheap either.

I really wanna drop some dough on a Daniel Defense rifle tho cuz they're niceeeee

Felt pretty good, and somewhat bad at the same time. It's a responsibility. Grew up around way too many people who were stupid with guns. Knew a few that hurt themselves and others unintentionally because they didn't respect them.

A gun is a tool. If you not hunting or at the range its a tool that you should like to have, but not use.

Buy it. If i stole it the guilt/fear of getting busted would completely ruin the feeling. Buying it made it feel very innocent as you should feel when buying a gun. You arent guilty until you shoot someone who doesnt deserve it. Printing a gun with a 3d printer would be fun because its kind of a fuck you to the dog shooting pizzas at the ATF who probably shit blood every time someone 3d prints a gun. I personally wouldnt print a gun because the us gov already has a uncle milton level hard on for me based on what i post on 4skin.

I guess if you're talking about the piston vs gas system then yeah weight leans towards ak47. The best gas system carbines still do very well even when gunked up or during over the beach tests and none of us will hopefully ever be in a situation where that difference matters. Obviously the AK will win in the dirtiest conditions but that's nearly impossible to get your gun that gunked up. There's a reason our military doesn't primarily use piston driven rifles.

Also you do realize they make piston driven ARs right? The AK is great and super fun, but other than it's versatility of being in every third world country, I'd choose an AR platform anyday.

There was a family squabble over the guns i inherited but they were rightfully mine when my dad died so kinda felt like I went thru a bunch of unnecessary bs, such as life I guess.
