Armada - mounting position

so I just purchased some Armada ARV96 (177) for
the upcoming season here in Australia.
Binding mounting position question.
Im going to be riding 60-70% all mountain and the rest park.
where would you mount your bindings? I was thinking - 2?

KoljisHey I just bought arv 96s the same length and was wondering about the mounting. Where did you mount yours and how did they work?

KoljisI know that center mount is best for park and especially rails so if mounted at recommended how would that affect things like hitting rails, riding switch and the flex of the ski? And sorry for spamming the thread

SofaKingSickYeah center mount is best for park but at the expense of other things like soft snow performance and carving performance (the ski is designed to have your midsole point at a certain part of the sidecut and to a lesser extent, be in a certain part of the flex of the ski). So unless you're all park all the time and/or know that for you it's more important than the above to have it true center mount, go recommended. Armada is a new school, park and free ride oriented company, their recommended mounts are absolutely intended to be a balance of good for tricks and rails but also for "actual" skiing . What percent of your time will be park vs all mtn shredding? Unless it's like 100/0 I say go recommended, it'll cover you for everything. You definitely will
not feel like they're mounted way back

KoljisI would say that I'm a 50/50 type skier 50% park and 50% everything else. I like riding switch alot I probably do more switch carving than regular carving. How does that work on a directional twin tip ski like this? I've never tried a ski like this before so I really don't know how they feel and behave on the slope I've only ever skied on regular old fashioned twin tips. As I have gotten older I have started to kinda move away from the park and started to enjoy just regular skiing so I was intrigued by the advertised versatility of these skis. I still like hitting rails alot I've never been good at it but it's something I always try to work on and improve. Maybe I fucked up by getting directional twin tips should've probably done more research before making the purchase.

SofaKingSickNo dude you didn't fuck up at all, they're the perfect ski for what you just described and so is the mount point. Don't worry about it at all. Mount it halfway between rec and dead center if you feel strongly about it but honestly I think you'll want rec

SofaKingSickNo worries, I know it's tough to decide on things but I can tell you you're good to go, that's a great ski for what you want and whatever you decide on for mounting they're going to treat you well. Don't stress over it, you should be hyped on your setup here
