Using a FT women's shell for a medium volume foot

Would it be possible to use the Plush shell if you have a foot that is too low volume for a Descendant and too high volume for a Drop Kick? Aren't womens' shells supposed to be a bit smaller and narrower? So basically the Plush shell would just be a slightly lower volume Descendant shell. Luckily I have 27.5 feet, which is a size offered for the Plush.

Just a random thought, I'm not actually in the boot market rn.

I wouldn’t do it. Cuff heights on women’s boots are lower and I’m quite confident the women’s boots are the same width as the men’s. The drop kick/classic shell will be fine if you have a medium width foot. The liners will pack out and they’ll fit fine. Also you could always just do a boot punch in trouble areas.

Pretty sure Full Tilts shells are the same just a lower cuff height for women. Just go for a boot that has the soul shell (FC series and Twall) it is more roomie than the classic. Mainly in the toe box. I have a pretty wide foot and they fit perfect without any work width and instep wise.

The lower shell mold and shell last are the same between men and women. The differences between men's and women's boots come from the cuff height and liner construction.

Getting a women's boot because you want a different fit in the lower shell won't be very successful since it is just a liner that you will feel. If you truly need a tighter fitting lower shell, you are better off getting an actual lower volume shell to start with.

Yes, I have a medium volume foot and the soul shells are just about perfect for my foot. They are a 99 last but dont actually fit like a 99. The classic shell is a true 99 for sure.
