Looking to build a bc setup and was wondering what optimal waist width is.
I have a Stockli sr88 I could remount. Any opinions on this as a touring ski? It’s very light, damp and carves well, not bad on ice. Haven’t had opportunity to test its float in pow 😐but it’s 88 so not expecting a lot.
If I was to buy a ski for touring and bc, I would likely prefer a downhill ski over a lightweight touring ski. 5-8cm behind center mount.
Likely only to tour the northeast, but may possibly visit side and backcountry out west as well.
