AustiinI would not recommend trying inverts without being fully comfortable doing 360's 540's etc... I would definetly say tramplolines are a huge help in learning the basics of flips, however its not always needed depending on the person. But, I would say try everything you are not 100% confident with on a trampoline or foam pit or airbag (limits the risk of injury and can be a huge confidence boost when it comes time to take it to the snow).
