Salomon NFX 2017

A guy is selling his used (less than 10 times) Salomon NFX 2017 for CA$150 (about US$120). They are the same length as what I normally ski at 170cm (85mm underfoot). I'm an intermediate to advanced skiier, 6' tall and 150 lbs. I've explored small jumps before but I'd like to explore the terrain park more.

Please tell me more about these skis and whether or not they're suitable for me. My understanding right now is that as park skis, these are on the heavy side, not enough rocker, too stiff, and perhaps a bit long, and that they're more suitable for jumps and all mountain usage.

With bindings but he didn't specify which ones. I don't know the mounting position.

They would be too heavy etc if they were actually the right size for you. A 170 should be ridden by someone around 5’7”. It’s way too short for you. That being said since it’s too small for you the should feel like nothing on your feet.

edit: 6’ is equivalent to 182cm so I’d recommend something in the 180cm size range

For a guy your size I'd go with the 176 or 182, just depending if you want a longer/more platform for jumps or if you want a lesser swing weight.

At the shop I work at, we do have some 2017 NFX's for real cheap since we want to get rid of them. feel free to message me for more info. I have a slightly used pair in 182cm and brand new ones in 176cm.
