skithemidwestttIll take some pics of my local today. The park is fucking abysmal this year. I haven't been able to even backflip due to lack of jump size.
skithemidwestttSome of both. I'm old now so hucking my meat off a two foot high booter sounds like shit. I've also never been a "fast" flipper as it is though.
i feel ya there. with age you become more selective in your jump and conditions criteria to huck.
Yeah shit was wack, but the people who came out made it pretty fun. This hill doesn’t normally have a park so kinda get it, but still should’ve been hosted somewhere else

Wish I would have taken pictures from Mont Sainte Marie last week when I was up there. Wasn't expecting anything from the park, but it might have been worse than nothing

Update: They built one big enough to get inverted on. Got pumped and over rotated and ate shit for the second time this year. Maybe backflips are just a thing of the past for me? Did my best cork 3 ever last night though!
I'm genuinely shocked that Vail Resorts would purchase such a massive liability. Not only that, they haven't stepped in at all to stop whats going on here. Our lunch breaks at BC are filled with laughter and amusement at every single post these guys make.

I know plenty of places have mounted barrels, but I bet thats legitimately sitting on the snow ready to tip over. Could somebody maybe find a way t hit that? sure, does that means it's any good or their aren't 1000 better ways to set that stuff? Fuck no.
92 footer with no landing. Also progression went 25', 35'. 92' or something like that. No second option and to hit the mega booter you had to skip the other jumps and tuck from the top, but it was in a jumpline. Also built by people who were trying to start a park building company to do contract work at other mountains building parks and training staff. I think 1 guy on the crew might have had a year or at least a couple days experience on park crew and another guy had a month ish from one season and a month or 2 this season. So somewhere between 1-2 seasons park crew total between all of them. Granted I've seen a ton of worse builds, but the fact that they legit thought they were killing it and were going to build shit for other mountains and train people, wtf. And there insta was more them taking artsy pics of each other standing around then building shit.
I usually don't shit on mtns parks because I feel kinda bad. Especially the clueless small mtns that have no idea. But if you're going to claim you're killing it, you should prolly be killing it. And that mtn totally boned me anyway. Fuck that place. I will say it looks like they built a new a frame and flat rail this year that actually look good. Cant really say anything else good about this place.

Where is this place?
Snowcreek in Missouri. Their instagram is loaded with all kinds of goofy dangerous shit.
But yeah, I agree. Could the right person get down on that setup if they were asked to? Probably. But why waste the space, "features", time, effort, and energy on something so ridiculous? It looks like a garbage pile.

Where is this place?
I ski their sister hill in St. Louis. Last year they yelled at me for repeatedly knocking over a tire that was literally just "set" up on top of a pyramid. If it looks like I can tap it, I'm gonna tap it.

True. Jump was so big the pictures wouldn't load. The fact the fact that it was in a 3 jump line of smaller jumps, had no landing, and a bunch if other stuff= simply classic.
I don't think anyone that was involved in the grand scheme has even worked in a park since. If they were going to build stuff everywhere and train staff you'd think they'd have a little more determination even if lacking experience.
A well built 55' is way sicker than a ghetto 100 footer. The logic of bigger is better, fuck safety yolo, and making the jumpline unrideable in a line. Fuck it was like 3 years ago and I'm still impressed.
Glad to see the west built a couple new rails though. Would be cool to see mt jore build a better park
you should see their pathetic attempt at a park this year. It’s FINALLY over by the triple. Of fucking course they put it on fucking banister. I know you know banister as well as I do- such a joke. The park is 2 TERRIBLE jumps followed by 3 TERRIBLY set up rails on the flat. I’m glad I’m old and washed up now and don’t really care to ski park 24/7 like I (we) all once did. I feel bad for the kids growing up skiing that. At least when I was younger Adrian set up a DECENT park and then when I was a little older (late middle school early high school) mark came along you guys made the park then best you were basically allowed to with the limited resources you were given. Those were the good days of hitting west everyday after school and shredding killington every weekend then skiing killington and whiteface all throughout college.
I was going to grab pics but totally forgot. I’ll get some next time I swing over on the *cheap* nights aka Monday. 30 fucking bucks now to ride west on a cheap night HAHA. I remember it being like $12.

Back in the day where $30 would get you beer and a twilight lift ticket.
