How to learn big spin double corks

I’ve learned all my tricks just by trying them. A double cork 1080 or 1260 has a rotation I just can’t envision. I have all basic double flips flips and corks down but haven’t progressed to the next level. Do people practice with a coach, air bag, or foam pit? Do I just need to go to Woodward for a weekend and get with a coach?

My advice would be get them really comfortable with them on tramp. Then start taking your cork 7's to bigger jumps and really float them. Start getting really comfy with cork 7's on the jump you plan to throw the dub on (a pretty large jump). Then start throwing cork 7s of small jumps so you can start throwing cork's like second nature. Finally go to park city airbag or whatever you have near you and you should be fine.

No I don’t understand the rotation. I can’t really even envision it forwards.

A switch dub 10 makes sense because it’s putting together a flatter switch rodeo and underflip.

Thanks, I live in North Carolina so I’ll see how comfy I can get during my ski trips. Is an air bag preferred against water ramps?

Dub corks are so really awkward for me. I can do dub 10s on a tramp all day but I tried a few into an airbag when I was younger and I just got stuck in a weird rotation and couldn’t put it to my feet to save my life. Most skiers who can do them have a lifetime of consistency and muscle memory at their back so like the other guy said I guess just get really good at single corks for now.

a dub 10 looks like a cork sev to backflip. hella hard imo. I wanna try my first dub and I'm thinking sw dub 9

Watch stomp it tutorials how to dub cork part. That really helped me. I think of it as like a cork 6 to Lincoln/Cork 4. Just go on the tramp and go from a cork to your back and you will start feeling the rotation.

Anything with a normal lip. A lot of water ramps have a mogul type pop which isn't going to give you the actual feeling. I personally like airbags, but whatever floats your boat.

A dub 10 isn't really a lot of spin if youre going inverted. That said I've never done a dub 10

Just saw the stomp it tutorial, it was really comprehensive. Made me a bit more nervous, it’s not so straight forward. I’m such a flipper, I’m going to really have to practice corking. It’s my goal before 30! Got a few years left. I’ll return someday when I nail it.

How do you think about a kangaroo flip aka dub rod 9? I think that would be pretty straight forward if you've got rod 5s down

I used to be a big tramp guy and did dub 10s but like aerial style, so you do a straight up backflip 360 into a backflip. It kinda simplifies it when you know how to do that. Try it real straight up like into a foam pit off of a tramp, then you can go more spiny from there

app is only good if you want to lap the park all day, if you want some carving and some natural side hits and small drops go to sugar but they have no park, and if you want a little bit of both beech has a rope tow and some good skiing
