I'm not a basketball fan but growing up when I did in LA, it was hard not to love the Lakers. I remember my dad yelling for me to stop doing my homework because Kobe had 50-something points at half-time, he scored 81 that night. I remember all the championships and the golden age of the Lake Show. I remember how unbelievable his last game was, there were no words to describe that performance. The helicopter crashed about 2 minutes from my dads house this morning. The first text I got, he said a plane crashed on the hill, the second text told me what I wasn't ready to hear. RIP Mamba, you meant a lot to and did a lot for our city.
