Subaru Forester owners need some advice

My current ride is a 2003 Subaru Forester, just about to roll over 374,000kms with it. It's pretty alright, handles itself in the winter no prob. I run larger tires (217/70R16), have a 1" lift kit, and have a thule box. For fuel economy I average like 10L/100kms which isn't terrible all things considered.

It does friggin eat oil though. But the wagon is nice, I've definitely loaded it with probably too much stuff quite a few times and the foz handles it. I'm probably going to get another subaru after wrapping up uni unless I require a truck for a job. I've only had issues with the O2 sensor after getting some pretty shitty fuel + having a cold spell which messed things up for a min.

freestyler540I bought a 2016 2.5i last winter. So far, Im very happy with it. 6L for 100km, that pretty awesome for a SUV.
Other than non leather seats, thing runs like a charm. I even took it up to Balface in September.
Forget hauling huge trailers and check the oil cause older versions like to burn a little more oil than the average car.

Any Subaru I've experienced first hand has needed lots of work and the parts are relatively expensive. I like how they drive though.

Any used car needs work if you wanna make it nice. Subaru parts are not very expensive. Some areas are tougher to come buy but there are plenty of old subs sitting in pick n pulls out there.
