Thoughts on freerace

Edit: I first watched this video at 2am and it's definitely not as bad as I remember but I hate that they cut in the middle of the first few tricks and it's still choppy as hell

Lmao it's choppy because they had to cut out the part where Candide jumps over him in ootd. Jokes aside this does seem like it would be a really fun thing to do with friends though.

I've only spent a tiny bit of time on FIS slalom skis, but that time was enough to make me never ever want to ski them off piste, let alone landing 7's and dub backflips on them. Crazy impressive.

I spent most of a season a few years ago on slalom skis. Catching an edge sucks. They're heavy and stiff. They're very finicky, but can be fun if you're into that kinda skiing. They're also super scary when you max out the speed on them.
I wonder how sharp that guy's edges are...I never would have considered crossing my skis with mine.

I have a homie who rips slalom skis in the park. Honestly it would be dope if there were events like this, there are snowboard contests where it's a slalom course into a jump where your score gets you time off your slalom run.

I gotta hate on this a little though, kinda gives off a "SEE!! RACERS ARE THE BEST SKIERS AND CAN DO EVERYTHING ON SKIS" vibe

First of all, that contest idea would be dope. Except if instead of slalom it was a different course, something similar to ski cross. that would be so fun to watch.

Also I agree, I can't stand the racer superiority attitude. We get it, you grew up on the east coast and your dad was your ski coach.
