Bent Chetler 100 Durability

Hey,

is there anyone who can comment on durability of the Atomic Bent Chetler 100 (riding mostly park, rails, jumps)

I mean that in comparison with other skis ofc theyre not gonna last forever. Ive been riding ARV96, so that would be the best comparison and I personally dont think armadas are that great in durability, on the other hand theyre pretty okay (at least here) with replacing them with new ones when the ski gets damaged by normal park usage and in my local shop ive been told thats not necessarily the practise with Atomic, which got me a little concerned.

Can't speak for the Bent 100's but all the Atomics I have ever owned have been super durable and I think they usually tend to still be. I have a pair of Blogs that have been used and abused for 7+ years now and they are going strong.

Like most atomics they're super durable. After a year of putting them through hell (75+ days) the topsheets and sidewalls look brand new. My bases are torn up, and maybe they're a tiny bit soft, but that was 99% my fault.

very very few ski companies will warranty abuse. The shop can usually help make an exception for a good customer though (all depends on the shops relationship with the rep and the vendor).

As for the bentchetler 100, i took it through the park all last season and while the edges wear down on rails, the skis themselves really show little sign of abuse. It depends on what you are doing with them. If you are a hike the same rail and hit it 100 times, id recommend something else, make the bdog edgeless or something since you wont have any edges after doing that anyway. No ski will handle that kind of abuse.

Yea I dont mean they cover abuse as such, but when the ski starts to delaminate after a season armada (in czech rep.) would most likely cover it.

I probably hit a rail more than 100 times during a shred day (I mean 100 isnt all that much 12 laps, each 8 rails in the line...). But also im okay with round worn out edges. Im concerned about breaking edges or.. yea sidewall not holding up, delaminating tips, stuff like that.
